Well its happened
Deleting outside LR and now all I have is a mess
I want to start fresh and have a decent catalog
My question is all that listed in LR is only a catalog so Im not deleting?
I have copies of some/all on external HDD.If I process with this
and save to one HDD will all the rest delete when using detect duplicates and not import
Save me LR guru
Many more question will arise from this

When I first got LR I simply export all my photos into it
Now I have doubles and trebles throughout my other HDD
I want to know if I remove all through LR (My Catalogs)can I start again from scratch

Yes you can in library high light folder or single photo right click and select remove.It will remove from LR
