    New laptop

As the title has said I have got a new one.
My last laptop was an Acer and it was a real bad one and I will never but that brand ever again.
The laptop before this lost one was an Acer and I loved it. Never played up but it just got really tired after over 3 year of use.
I couldn't have been happier, hence the rebuying of an Acer.

The new one would not do some things and then all of a sudden it would.
Then harddrive problem hit it and if I put it in again it would have been number 5.
I knew the place where the harddriver was replaced would have said it was time to look further into the workings of that one.
And this could have been cheap but with our luck it would have been too expensive.

So I talked to the Mum in law and she said that she would lend me the money to get a new one.
I got myself an HP ENVY M6 and it has got windows 8 installed.
I am not liking that but I think once I have worked it out this windows will be good.
So now I have got a new laptop and I am happy with my choice.

Congrats on your new Laptop.. May you get many years of pleasure out of it and I am sure you made the right choice.

My first notebook was a H/P Pavilion many years ago loved that one.
I now have a Macbook pro running Windows 7 on it so I use all my software and plug-ins

I shoot with Olympus Cameras.. Sometimes Canon and My iPhone SE 2020

I knew my way around windows 7 also.
But this windows 8 is so different it will take a while to find what I have to do to make it work for me.
Though on the computer side I am loving this one way more already.

Windows 8 is very different to Windows 7. But once you get used to it it's not too bad. If you can't though try putting on something like the below link.

I wouldn't try and downgrade to Windows 7 unless you know what your doing. This can be a real pain because Windows 8 uses a different boot loader to windows 7 and previous versions. Good luck and I hope you get used to using Windows 8.

No I have never thought about going back to windows 7.
I remember before windows 7 I was quite happy with what ever it was then and slowly got use to 7.
More time has to be put in by me to work it out, then I think what was I worried about.
Though getting older may take a little longer.
