    Raw image

    Hi guys having a little trouble my images are in RAW format so l tried to upload them to photobucket but it wont allow me jpegs work fine but RAW is my issue any help will be gladly appreciated cheers

    RAW files are basically the data off the sensor. They can only be read by software that is often referred to as Raw conversion software. Thus they are not in a format that is generally loaded to the net, unless you are say sharing a particular file with another person for advice etc. Upload smaller JPG versions for sharing. Places like Photobucket probably do not even support display of Raw files.

    The other thing is your Raw file is your digital negative, and you should only share it with people you trust implicitly.

    Zero...
    NO! You do not upload your raw files to the likes of Photobucket, Flickr, etc.
    You have to process them from the raw data format they're in and save your results as jpegs, tiffs, etc.
    They're the original files that the camera recorded (unless you set it to jpeg only)

    Thanks all I'm using the program on the cd that came with the camera kit to change it to jpeg

    What ever you did to the photos you put up in the Forum: New to Photography CC (Beginners) should work on photobucket also.
