Should I be concerned about Java?

Anybody got the scoop on this, or is it just Fairfax drumming up hits?

I do not intend to worry about it. If the threat is serious enough then Oracle will come up with fixes to plug the holes. It is a never ending circle of exploit - fix - exploit - fix. Chill

Java is in DVD players, tv's and even cars. Those that are possibly exploiting it, need to get you to run their software on your computer. If you are aware and do not visit malicious sites, do not open files received in emails that you do not know what the files are, etc, you should not be concerned. Good online awareness is something we should all have.
