Help needed please - PSE11 and saving edited images back to laptop.

    Hi,

For Christmas I got PSE11 (my first foray into photo editing!), I also got the Scott Kelby book (totally fantastic!) and I'm not sure if it matters or not I got a new laptop which has windows 8. It might be a combination of these things or it might just be the fact that I am severely technologically challenged but I can't figure out how to save my image (the first one I've edited) back to my laptop.

It saves back but when I open it it just comes up black. I hope that makes sense. Please help - I don't want to lose my work.

    Thanks in advance.

Well, what is the image you're trying to save?

Go through it stepwise. Image from camera... ?processed from raw... ?loaded into PSE11...?edited...
Then what, you try to "Save as..." (or whatever PSE11 calls it) and ?problems.

Sorry it's taken me sol long to get back and thankyou for your reply!

I think I've got it a little figured out but I've barely used it! It's way too much effort for me
