Can you post some examples? There could be several reasons for the cause of this.

There seems to be more than one definition of 'vignetting'...
Are you referring to seeing the filter holder at the corners of the image/viewfinder, or are you referring to the darkening of the image toward the periphery of the frame?
If the former; the cause is obvious, the solution is to zoom in a bit or switch to a narrower filter.
If the latter; the cause is due to the greater (relative) thickness of tinted glass the light (from angles other than directly in front of the filter) must travel through. I've never tried to correct it but I guess the answer is probably to fix (or reduce) it in post.
As Rick suggested, post a pic so we can see exactly what you have going on there.
