    Upload Problems

Hi Rick / Mods, I am unable to upload any photo's this morning. I have tried different images and even some that I have uploaded on here before. I have tried to include a screen shot of the error but I can't get that to upload either.
    Regards
    Wayne

Wayne, a quick test of both linking and attaching images shows me everything is working here.

Check that the files that you are attaching ( if that is what you are doing ) conform to file type and sizing requirements.

Looks a bit strange... I've not seen that before ... I see what I can find out

Do the normal clear cache etc. and see if that helps.

We had a minor issue a few minutes ago which I've fixed

Cleared the cache and rebooted computer but I still have the same problem

I just uploaded a couple in the members challenge gene but i had to use the "basic uploader" as it wouldn't work for me the normal way

    Rick,Kim,
I had the same problem Sunday morning, well the morning after the data base crash. Thought it was something I was doing wrong so I went to Photobucket , copied and pasted the image link and that worked fine.
EOS 60D and a couple of lenses.

What browser is being used and what version? I am wondering if this is caused by a conflict due to browser version (which workplaces are often notorious for not updating to current versions).

Hi Rick, this computer has Firefox as a browser. I have just uploaded a pic into the members challenges and had to use the "Basic Uploader" as still won't work the normal way

yeah, but what version? Firefox is up to version 17.0.1 (public) and 18(beta). My guess is your workplace is probably on a much older version and there are known issues with older versions of browsers. Internet Explorer 7 and below simply cause all sorts of issues when viewing/using AP as the site has software that is beyond what they are capable of. It could well be the same with FF.

    FF 17 should work.

Try changing to a different upload option via Settings (top right of this page).
Use the 'General Settings' (left had side menu)
Set Enhanced Attachment Uploading: Enhanced Attachment Uploading off
And scroll down to click 'Save Changes'

    Note:
The 'advanced' uploader uses a Flash module, and may therefore cause issues if you're behind a firewall.
The Simple version is pure HTTP
