Old Brisbane cemeteries

What are some of the old cemeteries which would be interesting to a photographer?

Toowong cemetery is not far from the city and close to the Mount Coot -tha botanic gardens.

Don't know about Brisbane, but Rookwood cemetary (one of the oldest in Sydney) has some amazing areas in the original section which also include heritage rose types, arbors and all sorts of Victorian and Georgian follies, etc. So I would imagine there would be an equivalent in Brisbane. Keep in mind also some of the older churches around town may also have smaller histroic cemteraries, like here in Ashfield, Randwick and Newtown.

Well there's 2 decent ones that I can think of, Toowong and Fairfield (I think it's fairfield anyway)

Annerley is closer to the city and has a view to the mountains, and Boggo Road Goal is just down the road too, well what's left of it since they turned it into apartments.

Toowong also has Mt Cootha lookout above it. A great spot to watch the sun come up, especially if you have a long lens for views of the city. There is also a couple of waterfalls and walks up there.

On the northside their is the Nundah Historic Cemetery - I can't for the life of me remember the street name, but if you go to the end of Bucknell Road and turn right it is at the end of that street. Quite a lot of old gravesites and some nice overgrown areas nearby. Could yield some great results.

There's a small cemetery known as God's Acre at Archerfield Aerodrome.
You'll also get the opportunity to capture light aircraft and helicopters, as well as the Art Deco Terminal.

Toowong is always my favourite for cemetery shoots because of the rolling hills and such a variety
