    Doggie

I had to share this photo
On Tuesday just gone, my beautiful 19mth old son had surgery to repair two hernias in his abdomen. He was so brave, and had the hospital staff wrapped around his chubby little fingers with his calm and placid nature ♥

One of the lovely nurses dressed his favourite toy doggie up in scrubs to accompany him into theatre, it was such a touching gesture in our otherwise yucky day.

Thanks Mary Anne, yes, it was very stressfull for us. But he is doing well, he is not as mobile as he'd like to be, but he is learning to live with his restrictions, for eg, he knows he can't bend, or stretch the wrong way because that hurts, so he asks us to pick up anything that he's dropped or can't reach

The doggie is cute, we like it's smile!

That was a lovely thing for the nurses to do - most working with children try anything to help make things as easy as possible for those concerned - thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear about your son - although it is much easier to repair at his age. Wishing him a quick and complete recovery.

    Thank you bouwy
He's pretty much recovered now, his last stitch fell out a couple of days ago, I'm so glad that it's all done with now, brave boy!
