A desire, a dessert, a king and his lens

Got another ol banger ais lens yesterday .....

    D300_DSH_6916.JPG

very low light, hence high ISO(for a D300!) and slow shutter speed.

When the time permits, I'll see how it looks in better light, with lower ISO values of course.
Initial impressions are that it was worth the wait to find one at the right price.

Uuuh, blurry due to shaky hands with that shutter speed, but AIS lenses are known to be very good.
Aside having a Nikon300mm VR2, I chase an AIS 300mm from the "old days" on eBay , since.

The blurriness is due to the 1.8 aperture and long focal length(bokeh and limited dof)

focusing was hard, light was low(hence 1.8 aperture and ISO800), but I missed focus on where I wanted it to be, middle of the K, and it ended up slightly back and up on the top of the K instead.

    here's a 100% crop.

This lens may take some getting used too.
