Macro shots - fine blue edges

I use an Olympus SP-560UZ and I am finding in a number of my macro shots (I mainly photograph wildflowers) I get a fine blue line around the edges of my subjects

Can someone tell me why this is happening and better still how I can prevent it from happening

    Thank you in anticipation

I suggest that you upload an image or two to show the problem at its worst as that will help people assess it.

I will hazard a guess though that what you are seeing is chromatic aberration and that it will be similar to what appears in this thread --- http://www.ausphotography.net.au/for...atic+aberation --- there are a few explanations of it in the answers there.

It sounds like chromatic aberration, but as per the previous post, it would be best if you posted an image (preferably at full resolution) so that people can assess it.
