    ...and I still don't know!

    Here is the situation.
I was logged in to AP using Chrome. (OK, enough said!)

I found two interesting threads, one was on portraits with an 85mm lens (I think), and the other was about a pesky message that came up on someone's internet connection.

Well, I couldn't see the (photobucket) links in one, and I could not see any detail in the opened pdf in the other. I noted that one thread was in the OOF forum, so I can go and look for it there, but the other??? I suppose I could search a couple of likely forums...

So I logged out and then used FFox (where everything works) to open AP.

The point is: How can I find the last threads I was looking at??

This is what I still don't know.

    CC, Image editing OK.

Yes, Jim. That's what I do when I can remember anything. Thanks.

Allie. Thanks, I do this sometimes, but I had already logged out before I went back into Chrome first, and then FFox. (Maybe not explained in original post.)

You knew you wanted to look again before you closed Chrome?
Trying not to state obvious, while in thread, go top top of page, just above adverts is where you are (so at that moment I'm here Forum .:GENERAL:. :Site Matters ...and I still don't know!)

Unless I am completely misunderstanding what you are trying to do, your browsing history is available for a long time for any browser you might use - so, if you had the pages you are looking for open while using chrome, open up google chrome again and Press control h - all the pages you have visited on a particular day should be listed - it is just a matter of going through them to find the pages you were on. If they were open while you were using firefox - open firefox and also press Control H and the available history will again be shown. You just have to search the browser you had open at the time. Good luck!

The problem with Chrome .. it's too dang bright! The reflections are blinding and you can't see what the 'ell you're supposed to be looking at.

You can't go back through your history because of this blindingly bright reflectivity, so there's no point in Chrome having any way to access a feature so simple.
Also, it's one of those things that the goog's over at Goggle won't ever add in as a feature as they're too worried about a corporate take over by Facebook Folks

    (I reck'n)

The real problem is it worked too well when FF was going through a briar bush a couple of versions back. I got used to it some, but now I am going back to FF more.

    Ta for all advice.

Sorry, might just be a little confused about what arthurking just said, but chrome does have a history, in fact a very detailed history including time stamps. It's listed on the menu under the "spanner" symbol (Customise and control Google Chrome settings). Sorry in advance if I totally mis-understood everything....

    Aaah, now I understand!

You can search a site for a phrase using google by typing phrase site:sitename into the search bar maybe this will help you find what you are looking for on the site.

eg using some words from your post briar bush site:www.ausphotography.net.au to get the following result

Of course I was being silly!

.... but not half as silly as Am had been for moving away from FF in the first place!

    But!
Maybe it's just the way computers work, but I found that on all my various PC's and back then some of them were massively old in terms of hardware .. FF ran faster in terms of start up and browsing in most respects than Chrome 'felt'.
The caveat was that these were clean installs of FF with no addons enabled .. but of course the more bloat you add, the slower it becomes when it's time to use it and possible instability issues manifest themselves.

Allie we have an in-built google plugin that does that. Just use the Google Search from within the 'Searches' Menu : http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/apgoogle.php

Hi Rick, I know you do, I have used it myself, but maybe not everyone does or uses it ........ not all sites are as smart as AP so I think it is handy to know how it works.
