Just found out I have 4 more Nikon lenses than I realised

Was in the Optomertrist today to get some new glasses and saw a little Nikon lenses sign. Turns out my current lenses (prescription sunnies and normal) glasses are Nikon and my ones will also be. This adds a sum total of 4 Nikon lenses to my current collection. Wonder of they are ED glass?

Did anyone else know Nikon did spectacle lenses?

Mongo knew they made optical equipment for optometrists just as Olympus does but not spectacles until now.

Just thought how funny it would be if the die hard Cannon users were wearing Nikon (and depending on them) without knowing it.

The only issue I had pentax spectacle lenses is they still don't have full frame lenses although there is a rumour of one coming soon. Nothing worse than glasses with a 1.5x crop.

Medium format glasses? You want to spend that much on a pair of glasses?

They're celebrities, they can afford that. I think you need to realise is that medium format glasses aren't going to make you a better looking. You can look just as good with non-medium format glasses if you know how to use them. It really bugs me when these newbies come to the site and think they can just buy a set of medium format glasses and instantly they're good looking. Framing your glasses is just as important as the glass thats in them.

I just sense that this is going to end up being one of those threads.

My glasses have writing on the lenses as well but I can't read it unless I have my glasses on so of course I can't read it ---

Probably a no name brand or Samsung.

Besides I had to change optomertrists after they tried to photograph my eyes for their records with a Canon 30D

That was about 4 years ago and they had just paid $4,000.00 each for 2 bodies so I wasn't going to let them dent my wallet any more to recoup their ill spent dollars + take fuzzy pictures of my eyes.

I ended up with Oakley on the frames as are my other two frames.

I would say I used some amazing logic like I picked them because Oakley are frame specalists and Nikon are lens specialists but its purely vanity...the oakleys looked the best on me
