    Thanks Rick. It's actually the D7000 not the D700. Anything using the EN-EL15. Luckily mine is fine.

    Yeah, this service announcement was issued about 2 month back for the EN-EL15. I received this announcement not long after I purchased my D800 and have already replaced the battery.

    Yeah, but it seems in the USA it has been voluntary recall till now, and that they have upgraded it (to whatever the level is above voluntary) recently

    Mine went back on Friday (D7000), they even sent a courier to my door to pick it up and it has to go back via by Sea from Tasmania as they regard them
    as to dangerous to fly!!! Bit of a nuisance while waiting for a replacement though.
