    Want to learn Lightroom?

Gavin Seim conducts Adobe Photoshop Lightroom workshops. He is a bit of a guru. To our benefit, he has decided to post a video of his workshops onto youtube for everyone to access for free. Up till now, he has always charged to attend one of his workshops.

So from Basics to Advanced Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Tutorials..Here you go. Be prepared to sit in front of the computer for a while. Each video is a almost 2 hours long, but the new information/techniques and processing tips are worth it.

    Lightroom essentials
    - What is Lightroom all about
    - Understanding the Catalog
    - Importing Your Images
    - The Basic Grid Edit

    Everyday Lightroom
    - Folders, collections and virtual copies
    - Develop Module Essentials
    - Leveraging the power of presets
    - Image exporting & watermarks

    The Lightroom Pro
    - The Super Workflow
    - Local corrections and brushes
    - Better dynamic range using LR
    - Better understanding file quality

    The Lightroom Master

    - The power of channels. Color, B&W
    - Noise, detail sharpening & beyond
    - Detail edits & Photoshop integration
    - Extending LR. Plugins and more

    The Lightroom Businessman
    (or woman)
    - Folders, files, tags & metadata
    - Slideshows, videos & web galleries
    - Leveraging Print templates
    - Using LR in the sales-room

Being a total of quite a few hours, but broken down into their separate components will let those wanting to become much more proficient in the use of Lightroom to do so. But it will take a bit of commitment on your part to settle in, in front of the computer and watch these. The benefits to your processing will however be enormous. So if you are committed to photography and using Lightroom, they are worth the time and effort to work your way through.

    Enjoy!

Some of the info will be out of date now with release updates for LR, but most things in the tutorials will still be worth watching and relevant to editing in general.
