As if hamburgers weren't already unhealthy enough, this takes the cake...

    Literally takes the cake.
My daughter made this cake for a friend's birthday party today.
    Damned fine work I reckon.
It's two layers of chocolate cake, with a basic vanilla cake, then all the rest is done with icing.

What a clever daughter you have, she has done a great job. Reminds me of we called "technicolour chunder" cakes - multiple coloured blobs of cake mix were cooked together and iced, so it looked normal until the caked was sliced - fun to do but not as good as what your daughter has made.

So if you can't have your cake as you wish ....

It seems that, at least, you can have your hamburger and eat it too!

I find it interesting that a food subject elicits so much interest.(me included), and it does look great.

Funny how old threads come back up every once in a while for no apparent reason.
I should have posted up the ginger bread house she made totally from scratch (not from a kit) to go with this one. She did a fantastic job of it - complete with internal structural support beams made from musk sticks. It was pretty impressive work. I'll have to see if she put any mobile phone shots of it up on facebook or the like, because I didn't actually get a proper shot of it.
