The 18-300 Nikkor would be a helluva walk around lens, Bill! Wonder what the IQ will be like? One thing I don't enjoy is switching between my 18-55 wide angle and 55-300 tele zoom. One lens for both ... hmmm. Someone's been wearing their thinking cap again!

I think I will be very interested in the performance of the 18-300. What a great travel lens this would be. Just back from o/s holiday and it was a PITA carrying all the gear ( three lenses etc) ...my shoulders get tired all the time. Not whingeing guys.....you now the deal. I`m thinking of a travel camera, maybe the pana FZ 150 but if this lens is ok then that`s the way I`ll go as I love my D7000 and would hate to leave it at home.
