    Gear related vent

Aargh! Fluff on my focus screen. I can see it through the view finder and it's driving me nuts.

The worst part: I'm on holidays and I left my rocket blower at home!

Where is it, inside the viewfinder? That can't be good!

I wouldn't say that I damaged the one on my 400D a few years ago trying to clean it and it had to be replaced. I have learned to ignore it as the blower will not shift it.

Success with the blower now that I'm home.
With lens off if you looked up onto the focus screen you could see the fluff that looked exactly the same as what I saw through the viewfinder.

    Moral of the story
    1. Don't change lenses, especially if your sitting in the dryer ,
    2. If you're going to change lenses, take your rocket blower on holidays.

Never had an issue with getting fluff on my focusing screen, I always have the body pointing downwards when changing lenses. Maybe I've just been lucky but I lens change is some pretty god awful environments, indoor climbing gyms full of chalk dust is the first I can think of.

I tend to stay out of the dryer when changeing my lens.
