    iDevices

Quick thanks to all the guys in blue. You guys do a great job. It's a great site. Many thanks from me.

I am just curious if there is any future plans to make the site more iPad, iPhone, iPod friendly? What I mean is, I'd love to be able to upload images from my iPad. I spend lots of my time away from my PC and use my iPad to download my images from my flash card. I love to be able to upload from it as well.

Also, when people link to images rather upload directly to AP, if the image is wider than the iPad allows, I miss out on the right hand side of the image. When people put a Flickr link on their images, it's fine. But for example, I cannot see all this image no matter what. http://www.ausphotography.net.au/for...-On-any-Friday

I know I'm probably being pedantic, but there are a lot of iDevices around and their use is growing. I now code my own work specifically for them.

Look, it's no biggie. I just thought I'd throw it out there for consideration.

    Cheers,
    Epoc.
    Cheers,

Isn't there an App for Ausphotography? I picked up an IPAD (the one called "new") and logged on to AP today. One of the 1st things it asked was whether I wanted an APP. It wasn't my machine so I declined.
That's about the sum total of my exposure to it.

It is. we have both the tapatalk and forum runner apps installed on the site. All you need to do is install them on your device. We have been enabled for tapatalk for nearly 2 years and forum runner for several months

Great stuff. I never got that option. Which do you recommend Rick? Is there any + or - to either?

Also, there is a site mobile skin (light weight) that works ok!

There are free trial versions of both available. Try them and decide which you like best

Ok, there is no free iPad version of Tapatalk and a read only version of Forum Runner doesn't inspire me. Maybe forum members who use these apps can chime in on what's the best option.

But wooden yer buy a "write also" version of Forum Runner if you thought the read only half was OK?

    (Or whatter my missin?)

I dunno how these apps work, except that the purchase of the likes of an Ipad only opens the door to many purchases of apps later.

If I'm rong, pleese korect me.

The whole point of my post was I want to post images from my iPad to AP. The read only version doesn't allow this, so basically it's a waste of time.

I have seen quite a few posts with the "Sent from Tapatalk" signature. So I guess I'll fork the $ and give it a go.

    Thanks Guys.

You can also use the browser built into the iPad. Or if you do not like that try downloading Dolphin Browser. It lets you set it up to replicate a tablet or a desktop. So you can browse and post to the site as you would on your normal computer.
