Good shots from the zoo. I love the pelicans in no. 2 with the contrast and of the meerkat in no. 1. Great dof and sharp on his eye.

Next time I will endeavour to come to one of the SA meets...my son's birthday was on Sat!!

Love the first one, Backlighting on the meerkat has worked very well.

Also like the last one with the three wise men all looking through their viewfinders and then...Kym

Nah, a 70-300 is plenty for lots of top shots at the zoo. Enjoy the hobby, learning to make the most of the gear we have is part of the fun and the challenge!

    Hi Keith

Great shots. I had a ball catching up with you guys. I was really impressed that you came all the way from Cowangie. You guys have inspired me more with my photography.

Great to meet you too Greg, and everyone else. Living in a remote area often means travelling long distances for some things, others like some historical sites and with National and State parks in my backyard give me an advantage over city dwellers.
Aussie Girl you wouldn't have been disadvantaged with your 70-300, in fact it would have given you more reach than my 70-200.
    Keith.
