    Photo Editing Software

    Hey All,

I was just wondering if anyone can recommend a photo editing program I can use as a trial before buying the full edition.

Any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.

GIMP 2.8 is excellent. So are the others of course, but GIMP is a very nice price. As Rick stated, it's free and open source. No expiry date on that trial.

Please don't hesitate to provide me with CC! I'd love to hear your thoughts regarding any of my images. Thanks!

I tried using the software that came with my camera but it seemed to keep crashing on me.

some very lightweight programs are paint.net and Photoscape

Gimp is best among free and open-source software. It is very powerful. Lots of plugins are also available. community support is also excellent.

I am currently using PaintShopPhoto Pro version X4. I am pretty happy with it. Not industry standard, but it can save in PhotoShop format, it has all the features I want, and it cost about $100 I think. It is often on special. There is also a good on-line community.
