    100 Days of the X100

    So I bought a Fuji X100 just over a week ago, and thought I'd give another photography project a go.

    I did 134 days in a row on my last one, before I ended it due to personal reasons.
    http://daily.omgtom.net

    So here is my next one. No particular theme, and I'm not putting as much pressure on myself and those around me with this next one! It ended up driving me in to the ground by the end of it, because of all the stresses of other things going on around me.

    This is a much more casual project, to teach myself how to use this camera in different circumstances and get used to it's funny habits it seems to have. Also, I've allowed myself to miss days if need be in this project (I didn't miss a beat in the last one).

    I'll post the photos in this thread each week, but you can watch the daily progress here:

    Decided to "shave" my signature ;]
    Now mostly shoots with: Canon 5D MK3 & Canon 24-70 f/2.8/50mm f/1.8 (also have a 550D with a variety of lenses/goodies and a Sony Nex-5N)
    PP with: Lightroom only, Photoshop is merely a 9-5 work tool for me.

    Haha yeah there isn't such artistic merit going in to these, more of a medium for me to do something, than a "try to impress the world every time" type thing!

    Trying to impress the world every time will just end up resulting in me appealing to nobody at all!

    Thanks Maryanne, I do recall you following my other project too, thank you again

    Also Day 9 involved me standing in dog poo, so glad you love it!

    Day 12 I actually had to tone the blue a little bit further down, the camera picked it up SO vividly!!

    Day 15 :: 26.04.2012
    Shadow Trooper off for a casual drive after a busy day at work.
    Extra: Camera mounted on a suction cap tripod, long exposure and a slow cruise down a quiet street.

    Day 16 :: 27.04.2012
    Squeegee tuning a Les Paul Custom just before giving May a quick lesson.

    Day 17 :: 28.04.2012
    Shadow Trooper doing some reading before bed. It's actually quite a brilliant book "City Of God", about the slums, drugs and gangs in Rio.

    Day 18 :: 29.04.2012
    Shadow Trooper cooking up some Grantaloupe Tacos, working from a recipe book “Cooking for Wookies”. Exotic tastes!

    Day 19 :: 30.04.2012
    Low key self portrait, much harder to do on this camera! Used my DSLR to set off the flash, having to time it perfectly with the shutter on the x100.

    Day 20 :: 01.05.2012
    The creature that lurks beneath your house.
    Extra: Took many attempts to get this, I had LEDs set up to give a coloured glow of things in the room. However, since it took me so long the batteries in the LEDs were fading to just a spot instead of brightness. The light shining on me was a torch that I squeezed in to a tight spot between the camera and an adjusting arm on the tripod. Balanced!

    Day 21 :: 03.05.2012
    The creature back from a long night at the disco.
    Extra: Two strobes behind me to brighten up the room. Being set off by my DSLR, which again was being set off by my wireless remote in sync with the X100.

    Cantaloupe tacos so what did they taste like.
    Were they sweet at all and could you taste the Cantaloupes in them
    Day 16 really appeals to me, and day 19 the low key of your self is great too.

    Thanks for the comments

    It was an interesting taste! Not highly recommended. I think stick to beef!

    Grantaloupe meat is quite tough and tasteless, I don't know how those little wookies survive on them =/

    Another project ended early. I'm selling the X100, so obviously can't continue this!

    I have a Sony NEX-5N on it's way though, but I don't know if I'll do another project. I think I'll just keep doing my random photos scenes that I have been doing pre-and-during this project!

    Here are the last 4 photos, thanks for listening:

    Day 22 :: 04.05.2012
    May the fourth be with you.

    Day 23 :: 05.05.2012
    Make a wish!

    Day 24 :: 06.05.2012
    Shining down on Buddha

    Day 25 :: 07.05.2012
    Fry lit from above
