300D Lens upgrade

Hello all. Just joined, first post.
I have an EOS 300D with an EFS 18-55 & a Sigms 55-200 - the standard lens kit when I purchased.

I was looking at buying the 24-105 L Series IS lens. Will it fit the 300D body is what I'm wondering?

I will be looking to upgrade the body in the next year or so, and I know the lens will work with 7D up through the range.

EF lenses will work with any EOS body.

EF-S lenses will only work with a cropped digital sensor body, anything that does NOT start with a 1D, 5D. ie. XXXD, XXD, 7D.
