    How tough is a Canon 7D?

    what happens when you throw a Canon 7D down stairs....freezing it...and other various things...

    My guess is the 'donated' camera is probably a warranty return that is not going to be repaired, but replaced.

    You would hope so, not sure if it would be able to be returned in that state

    If you look at the video at the beginning, the body cap is not in good condition, even before they start. Probably a pro one, used frantically and traded in, etc.

    But all the same, it certainly shows that the magnesium alloy bodies used on the various brands gives them decent strength

    I've always thought of mine to be pretty solid, but that is extraordinary. I won't worry so much about my wife taking it overseas now!
