Rob's site has some great examples, a very interesting read.
Actually, most credible people who have done testing have come to the consclusion that there is little difference between the D800 and D800E once appropriate post process methods are used, See links to some here:

Another interesting comparo between the D800 and D800E and the fact that with correct post processing there is virtually no difference between them. In fact, this pro says that there is more DR in the D800!

Go down to post number 61 to a guy names Jack and read the subsequent posts. Very interesting!

    Hi Lance -
Yes, some very interesting threads there. Plenty of reading and many thoughts thrown in the mix.
I particularly like the images on Rob Galbraith's site. Ultimately the D800 or 800e will be a personal choice. I'll add my 2c worth when my e arrives Cheers

I finally have a D800E in my hands and I can say I'm pretty overwhelmed with the it. Its by all counts the camera they have hyped it up to be. As for comparing it to a D800 - happy to compare them side by side one day with anyone keen if they are feeling that way inclined
No moire that I can see, images are beautiful - rendering every brick and dent in an image. Very happy with the E.Sydney-2.jpg
