Going on the Kokoda track...... Camera advice needed.....

    Hi,

Leaving this Thursday, what camera to take? I have my old trusty 400D and 7D with 10-20mm and 18-280mm lenses and a new S100 Canon P&S.... leaving my 5D MII behind...... I am leaning towards my S100 for easy carrying..... which?

I would S100 it up, you don't want extra weight and bulk.

Yep, the S100 would be a clear winner for that trek.

Will you be able to recharge the batteries along the track?

    Depends on three things.
    How fit are you?
How important are the photos you take?
Is this in any way a photographic journey?
If the photos are important and you're fit what's wrong with the 400D (and S100)?
Aren't you employing a local to carry some of your stuff anyway?
