Waiting's the worst part once you've pushed the button
Hate to say it, but three days from Thursday makes Monday... Practise with the 24-105 until Monday, you'll appreciate the 70-200 once it comes

Quite a few people from here have bought through eGlobal and they're well recommended. I'm sure it'll be here in time.

500-600? Over two days? I can see that happening lol.

Don't sweat Allan, if it's not there on Monday, it will be on Tuesday.
I got my camera from B&H. Delivered to rural N.S.W. in 4 days. That included a U.S.A. public holiday.

The #### thing is a site censored word(s). My guess is they have ordered from someone who has spammed AP in the past. If we get a site repeatedly spamming us, we block their site name from being mentioned on AP.

We have three sites who's names are blocked from being mentioned on AP. All three have had owners/staff repeatedly join and spam AP with advertising, thus, even after contacting them about paying to advertise on the site, and they refused, we have censored their site names. After all, why should our site advertisers have to compete with someone who is not paying to advertise, and why should they get free advertising?

    fair enough Rick.
    My Lens Is Here
Really didn't expect it till wed-thursday
5 min dash around the yard before the light died completely
mainly impression is that the 2.8 is realy good compared to the f4 of the 24-105 as the light fades.
will try it out on the way to work in the morning, at work , on the way home

Congratulations on your new purchase. I have the first version of the lens and love it. I also have the 100-400 which I will be taking to South Africa in July and it is an amazing lens - keep saving (and be extra nice to the boss - I mean wife LOL).

Congrats on the lens. I really would have preferred the f2.8 over the f4, but I don't use it enough to justify the cost. I think I need to hang the lens off the camera one weekend and just go out to see what I can shoot. Sometimes you get stuck in a habit of using a particular lens (for me it is currently the 24-105) and you miss shots that you might otherwise get if you force yourself out of your comfort zone. I have really only taken a couple of test shots with my f4 version and they are pin sharp, so yours should be brilliant.

What I would really love is a longer lens and access to some AFL games! Shooting from the stands is hopeless, especially when you can only take in a maximum 200 mm lens. I have some really good shots of local games from when I was playing and would love to get some shots of the top level.

i am looking into getting access to motor sport events.
not at the V8 supercar level
just club level events but access the the other side of the fence makes a bit difference to what you can get.

I assume they are awake to using a 2x extender on your 200mm lens...
Springwood is near Mt Cotton - do you go to the hill climbs at all?
