    Notifications Collection

How do I delete old Notifications? Or do I not need to worry about cluttering up the site and it will happen automatically when some limit is reached?

Just open the unread notifications thing, pretend to read them, move back to the forums and they all should be cleared (except for any unread PMs).

Nah, I have not seen a way to delete them. Mark is correct about removing them from the notification bar, but they all just pile up in your profile. Something for Kym!

The only way to clear them is to click on it, and read the PMs if any.

I think what Ian is referring to is in your profile : http://www.ausphotography.net.au/for...hp?659-ricktas
The Post Thanks / Like tab, clearing them from that list. Sort of like deleting a PM.

The thanks notifications stay there as long as the thanked post exists.

I like the notifications. It's a good indication that members read my comments, and are appreciative what I say. And generally it's the same members. But there are many that don't say "Thanks". But thats Ok.

I certainly appreciate the notifications; I was just concerned that they are gobbling up storage on the site,

Give the thanks needs to be recorded anyway, the notifications add very little to storage.
Also the new server has very generous disk quota, so even with our backups we don't have any great issues.
