    Whats with the Ad thingy

    Hi All....
Normally after I have looked at a thread, I'll use the back button to go back to the main forum page.
Today I used the back button and nothing happened. Thinking once again the site was playing up, I waited.
After a short period I thought I should investigate. On looking the history (See image) there are two lots of them ad thingies. This is very iratating, and generally if a site have this method, I never go back to it.
Is this going to be the norm from now on. Or is it something that has just occured.

Kym was playing with the software and looks like he has caused an issue. Will get it fixed.

Back from Lunch... I had setup an advert auto-rotator in javascript.
I've turned that off for now. (Refresh your page)

For the tech types... It was a Javascript timer that refreshed the advert iFrames every 15 seconds.

Blinkin IE... If you refresh an iFrame it messes up the back button setting - stoopid.
What was an elegant simple javascript now needs to do ugly things to handle IE. Bleugh!!

We have now set the top of page adverts to auto refresh after 60 seconds.

I've used an alternate method that does not mess up the back button or make the page jump to the top.

Its on trial, please let me know is you see any problems.

    Not sure what you mean?
Some adverts are images, 1 or 2 are flash.
The images simply link thru the ad-counter to the vendor site.
The flash has an embedded link.
