    Smooth as silk

On my short walk this morning I noticed this, hiding under its bright green leaves, and it did look as smooth as silk.

They are certainly a smooth flower and it's a nice surprise to see these amongst the Philodendron leaves Toni..

Thanks Mary Anne, the leaves are from the same plant, a Monstera Deliciosa.

Looks like you could stick a knife into it and spread it on a piece of bread.

You are right Jim, it does look like that - It's called the Fruit Salad plant, but it has nasty little sharp bits between the fruit segments. Not worth the effort I think.

If you wait until it's ripe (the outside shell pieces fall off) and then eat it you don't get any little spikes or sharp bits, they are great tasting
