My take on the mornings group.

    Much enjoyed and appreciated.
I hope everyone else felt so.

Well done Sarge. Your captures are much better than what I achieved.

    Hi Sarge,

I agree we ought to do this more often. It's pretty easy to organize really. Pick a location at the right time of day and all is good.

Thanks once again for organising this Wayne, I really enjoyed the morning and reckon we should do it more often!

I forgot to mention that i liked your compositions and that you caught the light reflecting off the buildings (better than I did!). The only thing I might ask for in the shot is a little (tiny mind you) separation between the rivers far edge and the jetty posts.

I would like to be seeing other threads/images/links in this thread.

    Com'on post them!

I would like to do a beach shoot one time, somewhere like Mettams Pool, Trigg or somewhere with some nice rock formations. Also, I reckon Hyde Park (Town of Vincent) would be a great place to go shoot one afternoon especially now, during Autumn!

That Photo Ephemeris looks like a handy tool to have too.

Thanks Wayne, it was only after the morning did I think that I should have left some room between the buildings and those pylons. Oh well, next time.

I might try for something the week after Easter. North Beach/Trigg/Mettams are just down the road from here and I'm keen on that one. Though quite a journey, Araluen would be good to get too as well.

Was good to meet up with some like minded enthusiasts and good to see some good shots from the morning.

Not that happy with the ones I managed to get at 1st look. Hopefully have more time this week to take a closer look at them and will post up anything good I find.

Wife and i would be really interested in future meet ups but will be in Sydney the week after Easter.

I'm very keen to do a beach shoot Wayne, and if your going the week after Easter, I have a week off uni (study break) so could work nicely!?

Beach shoot sounds good to me, and if you do Trigg there is plenty of scope if there's a big group....

SOme mice shots from Deep Water Point...you got some great clouds :-)

Two great shots. Love the colours and you caught the birds in flight beautifully.

Wow! My old stomping ground as a kid / teenager ... although I don't remember being up at 5.30am very often

Lovely pics Tim. I like the colour in the second, but the crispness in the first, and the way you can really see the details in the timber of the jetty. I like the crop (less sky) in the first one too).

... can't believe the size of that tower built on top of the Raffles - how did that happen?

Edited to add: Sorry, didn't realise there was a second page to this thread, not meaning to ignore anyone!
