    southern Tasmania : Aurora in Progress (Monday 12th Match 2012)

    For members in Southern Tasmania, an Aurora is in progress. Hobart is clouded over, but if you are outside the city and have a clear(ish) sky, look to the south. Use ISO 100 and long exposures to capture an Aurora:

    I wish !!! if you can get to see one, love to hear your experience too with the naked eye - I hear aurora australis tends to be red/crimson rather than the blue/green northern hemisphere version

    I saw a spectacular display at Snug when I was a small child. It was huge, but I seem to remember it being green. I'm sure it changes though
