    Thanks for the report.

The mods see a load average at the bottom of every pages, it was high for a burst.
I think it maybe a system job hitting hard at that time and/or a burst of 'bots indexing the site.
I've moved most of the system jobs them to the early AM.

FYI we see loads of around 0.5 - 2.0 when things are running normally and up to 3 or 4 when we are busy but things respond well at that time.
The current safety limit for the message is 7.0 at the 5 minute load average (we have 4 cpus)

Bill, I had trouble a little earlier, I know Kym did a little fine tuning earlier in the week after some of these header errors and general sluggishness, looks like this might be a similar issue. I'm sure he'll be on to it asap.

It's slow now as I monitor it.
I'll report it to the hosting provider now I have more information
It just after midnight in the USA -- I wonder if their backups have kicked in?

Those messages are likely to be Javascript related. I.e. the ajax functions are not responding.

Best is to logout, clear your cache and start again

I have a load script that throws 50 concurrent heavy hits at the site to various items (home page, display threads, library etc.) normally this hits and clears within 5 seconds.

BTW load balance is back under 2 ...

I just threw a 50 hit load at the site and it coped normally.

It seems that something is happening around the 17:00-18:30 AEDT time

A ticket has been logged and escalated

Earlier in the evening I go told to wait for 1 to 3 minutes to log in,but I did not record the time when it happened.

Errors when looking at "new posts"

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/apforum/public_html/forum/includes/class_bootstrap.php(429) : eval()'d code on line 193

Followed by a statement that you can't search again for x number of seconds as the site allows only one search every 15 seconds. There had been no other searches.
Tried a couple of times well and truly spaced apart for time, and got the error each time.

I've restarted the database etc. Looks ok now. I'm not sure what is causing this issue.
