Photo editing permission and reworking other members photos

Previous: New and Inactive Members : Site Access Restrictions Site Matters and General Articles Index Next: Offering advice to new and/or inexperienced members
This page is a chapter in the book Site Matters and General Articles Index.
When you join Ausphotography you are offered three options regarding editing of your photography by other members.

These options are:
  1. Edit ok, please provide details
  2. Ask before editing my photos
  3. Please don't edit my photos

Members can change these at any time using the Settings menu (top right of the site), under
My Settings > Edit Profile.

The selected setting appears on every post made to the site by members. So if you wish to rework another member's photo, please read their editing statement,
and abide by their wishes.

Editing another members photo against what they requested in their photo edit statement could see you banned from Ausphotography.
Members own copyright over their own photos and as such have legal rights to what happens with those photos. Breaching their rights is not only against
Ausphotography site rules, but also illegal.
