Thats an excellent price. I paid $AU649 shipped last year when I bought mine. Maybe they are clearing stock, with all the will they wont they discontinue stuff thats around on the net. covering all bases so to speak. I note they no longer have the K-r.

It's a good lens. Adorama is the same price.

Both B&H and Adorama are site advertisers on AP. So get your great deals, but please click through from the ads on AP, as that way AP gets some commission on your purchase. It all helps pay the AP bills, and give you some good prizes in our competitions.

Now to wait for the 50 1.4 & 35mm 2.8 to fall into a bargain bin!

I can only wish

Well, the prices have plummetted even in Australia. When I bought my first prime, the 35mm macro, it was $1399 at DCW (now $699) and god knows what at my local dedicated camera store. I got that for $650 or so from B&H. Nearly all the lenses were around the 900-1000AU mark when I first started looking. Lately I've been thinking local purchase is the go, for the warranty. Touch wood I have not had a single issue with any lenses bought from B&H but if anything did go wrong within the warranty period, sending back to NYC would be a royal pain.

I'd kill for a really good price on a 12-24.

And apologies to Rick, I also spread my purchases via pentaxforums and seriouscompacts who also have B&H affiliations.

Nice having the B&H option as the pressure is on to be more competitive in Australia. But some large camera shops still need to get their act together. * removed -see site rules 3-7 regarding complaints*
