The judge surprised me with his knowledge of photography; and it seemed to have stumped the 'professional tog' a few times lol

dont knock the shoot n burns,I did one recently and I would have done it for free since it was my chosen sport and did offer a lot of creative options (off camera flash,great location,action etc) the fact it paid (incl expenses) was a bonus!

No I would have attended the event anyway and shot for personal use!
The point I was making is that shoot n burns dont have to be boring mass marathon running events!

the article is a pretty accurate account of my experience with sports shooting...however there are a few who can make money out of it (excluding the Getty,Reuters guys etc) but its an ever shrinking market.....unfortunately
