Does anyone know of a company in the Sydney area which freely accepts old laptops for disposal and recycling?

We have several old laptops (sans hard disks -- I removed these) which we don't want.

Naturally I want them to be disposed of and recycled properly.

I'm not after money for them, and nor do I want to pay money to get rid of them. :-)

My search online so far has revealed a company called SITA Australia (http://www.sita.com.au). I'll ring SITA tomorrow and see what arrangements can be made.

In the mean time, if anyone knows of a company which can do this, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

Thanks.

Thanks Bill.

I checked that link and it looked very promising.

As luck would have it, this morning I became aware that the local council is holding an electronic waste collection event on the weekend of 12-13 November to coincide with National Recycling Week. The drop-off location is five minutes away.

What great timing.
