Hi everyone, I have a friend who wants to print some wedding photos. Problem is all she has is the negatives from 22 years ago!

Can anyone give some advise on the best way to go about it, and maybe recommendations on print labs that could do it, preferably in Melbourne so we could drop them in and avoid posting the negatives?

Thanks!!

Mic

Not too hard to get too from out your way is Prism Imaging ... WEB PAGE (http://www.prismcolor.com.au/index.html) ...

location is simple. If you know the corner of Abbotsford St and Flemington Rd's near the Royal Childrens, then you know the independent servo on that corner. About 10m along Abbotsford St on the same side of the road is where their front door is.

Super high quality and the sales people there all have the time and patience to help you get what you want.

Vanbar is also very good with quality/service, but this is only from word of mouth, not actual experience. But I think you need to get the film to the Carlton store, not the north Melbourne shop.

Mic, I have been quite happy with the digital printing work that Bond Imaging (http://www.bondimaging.com/) have been doing for us, they list film processing and scanning under their services so it should be an easy job for them.
They seem to be more than happy to have people drop off and pickup orders in their Richmond lab.

Well that was an idiotic move!! .. ever tried to get parking there?
The Carlton store was easy peasy stuff, and for me, a loading zone right out front! :th3:

.. anyhow, didn't know this, and it's a definite backward step by them for easier access by the customer(unless you always travel by tram).
The factory outlet stores all along Smith St, up that way, make parking a nightmare and it's one of the most heavily patrolled areas by parking officers scouting the side streets.

So Prism Imaging is therefore the way to go .. you'll save yourself $130 on the parking fines! :p
