I just got my Trend Micro anti virus update, together with an offer to try their new 'Safe Sync' cloud storeage facility.
I said OK, ticked My Docs, My Pictures, etc for the upload & went away. Many hours later, its still uploading.
Then I get an email from Bigpond advising that I had used 1/2 my monthly allowance.
The upload was < 1/2 way through - so watch that one - check the size of the 'My Pictures' before you start.
So I stopped it, & am now culling the old folders from my PC before I try again.
Has anyone had experience with Safe Sync?

At this stage of the game I would probably stay away from cloud computing - is still unsure where the dtata is and how safe the data actually is either. If you want to back up your data then I suggest you look at external Hard Disks and do regualar backups or copies of your data.

Get a blu-ray burner for $150 and stick it in your PC.
Hard disks can suddenly die and the disks are supposed to last for 100 years.

They're quick too and each disks holds a minimum of 25 gig.
