Im of to fraser Island in august and wont to take some panoramic photos so im wondering what is a good free download program to stich the photos into a panoramic image.

If you don't mind installing Net Framework 1st and a heap of other runtime mdules (on WinXP and Win 7)
Otherwise, go and pick up Hugin. (http://hugin.sourceforge.net/)
And IF YOU ALREADY HAVE IT there's the stitching function available in Adobe Photoshop.
And since you sport a Canon camera, look for the humble Photostitch 3.1 on the CD.

There's some free softWARE.

Yep. 4-got about this one. I have it too. Actually, I find you need more than one stitching program as they don't always handle shots the same way.

yeh Autostitch is good! Is the photoshop stitching function easy to use?

Thanks all i have down loaded auto stich. now i just need to get a new camera i was hoping to have it by now but i had some 4wd expences get in the way but next month i hope to have a D7000 to call my own

Thanks the the tip Kiwi, I downloaded this and had a play this arvo, straightforward and pretty easy for me to use which I liked.

Hi I have used the automate in Photoshop and Panorama Maker 5 by Arcsoft *removed by admin : breaches site rules*
I tend to move between the two programmes to see which provides me with the best outcome. Panorama Pro 5 only works in jpegs though. You can download a trial and there is good information on the website.

I hope you aren't scared of ghosting. This is the downfall of Autostitch (AFAIK). It's very good if the images don't contain movement. (B:eek::eek:)
