Wondering if any one has any thought about heading down to Point Peron any time soon while there is finally some cloud about?

Let me know if anyone is, I would like to come :)

Juanita, is Easter weekend "soon"?
I reckon I can do a sunset shoot one of those evenings if you are around?

the usual suspects eh! I'll be in that. Got a family bbq planned for either the sat or the sun (not been decided what day yet due to other shift workers), so if it doesn't conflict....I'm there.

:lol: "Minister for Finance and Entertainment" hahaha. My Chief Financial Officer already gave me a certain amount of $$$ to spend during Point Peron trip. (only $ not as much as $$$ hahahah)

The Sunday is Easter, so not that day. so maybe the Saturday or Monday if that fits with others? :)

Then there are are couple of PH's still through that week too. I don't have to worry about my shifts for a while :th3:

See you there Shirl. Where abouts? is there a carpark at the end of the drive on to the sand bank. I looked up nearmap.com and it shows walking tracks off from the end of the road? Let me know please when you get a chance. TA

There is a carpark at the end.....kepp going until you can go no further!
Nearmap here (http://www.nearmap.com/?q=Point%20Peron%20meet@-32.271263,115.687301&ll=-32.270642,115.689345&z=18&t=h&nmd=20110314)

I have car issues at the moment (battery keeps going flat as the alternator isn't charging). New car arrives at the end of next week (hopefully). If I still have probs I may be unable to make it unless anyone is able to provide a lift from Canning Vale??

Cheers Roosta, Jeff.
Hopefully I will be OK as I have borrowed a charger so I'm charging the battery in the evening! So far so good. However if there are any further incidents I may take you up on the offer Jeff, as my headlights are a bit dim!

Peter - yay to new cars!!!! Mine was supposed to be next Thursday but the dealer hasn't got it yet so there might be a delay :(

Hay Shirl, If the Alternator isn't chargingf the battery, it will be fruitless to try, the car can't run long enough just on the battery, the more modern car has two many electrics, even your Magna. It probally wouldn't even make it to PP on a new battery. Not worth the risk mate.

Jeff or myself will be your best bet.

Yo gals and guys, I would advise meeting a bit earlier than 5PM. Sun sets at 5:45 PM and the spot is full of nice subjects. Research and set up might take a bit more time and you want to be ready when the light comes to play. I'll be there at 4:30 PM :)

I'm planning to be there by 4 at the latest.
Well outside my comfort zone. I don't know the area at all.
I'm bringing one of those focusable torches for Gemini so if any one else wants one then let me know and I'll bring it with me.

Hi Peter...how much were those torches again (mates rates?!).
I am hopefully coming with Jeff as the car is seriously unwell......

Yeah great...very useful torch for everything!

Just drive right up to the very end of the road, keep sticking to the left, big carpark at the end.

I will try to bring Adam, so he can watch the cars with the dog.

Bring sturdy shoes for rock climbing!

LETS HOPE THERE IS SOME CLOUD!!!!

I heard Point Peron has some lovely sun sets... unfortunately i won't be able to make it as i will be playing with the classics (volunteering)...
Plus i was in a 4 car pile up a week ago so my car is a write off... And the curve balls keep swooshing past my head by 1mm... LOL

Tom - I was supposed to have a sunrise shoot this morning but couldn't rosk it with the car. Soooo frustrating.
Shelley - will be great to meet you at Point Peron. Perhaps you can do a bird in the sunset???? LOVE your bird shots so I wouldn't mind :)

It was a great meet.
Met a few new people and got a few good shots.
Here are two from the event.

Tom. Waiting.

Afterwards headed home and in the company of Roosta stopped at South Perth where I was caught by this reflection.
