Hi all,

I have used the Photoshop's Automatic Image Merge and stitched a U shaped image, and I am trying to straighten it up.

In either Photoshop or LR3, which tool/function I can use to straighten a U shaped image?

Hi andylo.

Post up the image you're referring to…… and we'll see! :)

if the horizon etc is not a nice curve it can mean a lot of playing to get it right.

If it is a nice even curve you can use the perspective/distortion correction tool. Depending on your version of PS, it changes where it is on the menu, but look for Lens Correction filters.

If it isn' a nice even curve, then the liquify tool is your saviour, but it can take some trial and error getting an understanding of how this tool work and getting it 100% right can be hard work

I have found (CS2 and on) the Edit - Warp tool quite useful. But let's c it soon.

Hi Andy

A look at the image would help.

Often the Transform tool and using some of the different modes will get me out of trouble. I think it is in most versions of photoshop.

That looks like a nice even U shape, give the lens correction filter a go, in PS

I don't know about CS5, but if your attempts don't work, download Hugin and try some of its perspectives.
