We have all seen the books by Joe McNally based on his love affair with Nikon Flashes.

Well now there is one all about the Canon system
Syl Arena (http://speedliting.com/) has published The Speedliters Handbook (http://www.fishpond.com.au/Books/Arts_Photography/Photography/Techniques/Digital/9780321711052/?cf=3&rid=1468932272&i=1&keywords=speedliter)

I have linked direct to the Fishpond page here, as they are a site advertiser, but I am sure other sellers will have it available as well.

I have just ordered my copy

Yes thanks Mark, please let us know what you think after you get it, I just got the Canon 580EX II flash & the manual is typical - not in simple terms for me to learn, also the fact I have never used a flash before...

just found this link with great previews

I ordered it too - tried to get by as Silkdiver did with the Speedlite manual but I think it is written in Swahilil :)

Finally received the book a few days ago and I have been totally engrossed by it. Finally something about flash/strobe that even I can understand :th3: I haven't put it down yet but when I do I am sure that it will be to try some things out :) Anyway - the book is easy to understand and written in a style completely unlike the Speedlite manual!! Well worth the $ IMO

Yes, got my copy today and I am finding it hard to put down. Very well set out and lots of information - you can read in detail or scan through - it is that well set out I believe. I am determined to get this flash thing under control.

I love books and will be taking this with me to work to read at lunchtime and any other time I have free.

So much to learn in photography land - when do you know it all?
