Hey guys
anyone know where i can find pricing for a version 1. I know version 2 has been out for a while but heck not going to be able to do 3k on the lens.

have done a bit of searching and they aren't easy to find anymore.

Cheers
Mike

Yep, I think finding a new one from a store will be difficult as you have found so far. I can't say I've seen any of the MkI on sale anywhere. Best bet ring around the Gold Coast and Brisbane and see if someone has some old stock.

Otherwise second hand will probably be the only way. I know the Non IS is still for sale but I'd perfer a 2nd hand IS over a new non IS myself.

Good luck on that one. Generally retail stores would have run down their version 1 stock before the release of version 2.

Best bet would be to ring some of your local camera stores and see if they have any left.

You could always try Darwin - everyone always says that we are years behind! lol

I saw a JB Hifi in Sydney with a MKI (most likely old stock), can't remember which one though - I think it was The Strand.

I would sell mine for $2,999 if I could work out how to get it off the camera body, it has been a permanent fixture for the last ten years.

Good luck
