When selecting an image to post, I copy the IMG code and attach to post ( using 'copy' and 'paste'), and submit thread. The post comes up only with the IMG code rather than the image. Would anyone be able to advise why this is happening?

To attach images use the attachment icon on the right of the icons on the top of the post page, it is the one that looks like a paper clip, click on that, then follow the instructions in the box to post images.

When it happened to me I had missed one of the [ or ] at one end or the other.

The format is ...
The ... must be a valid URL starting with http and ending in .jpg .gif etc.

The http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/images/emeralld/editor/insertimage.gif tool is a quick way to insert the image.

Eg: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4054/4672542361_f8a2a94746.jpg


Giving:
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4054/4672542361_f8a2a94746.jpg

When it happened to me I had missed one of the [ or ] at one end or the other.

It was the last of 4 images that was missed. When I edited the code out, the previous image disappeared, replaced by it's code.
