Morning All,

Not something I've had any real experience buying, just wondering if people can make any suggestions regarding a useful tripod bag.

Not after anything ultra fancy, wouldnt mind something slightly padded atleast.

Will be housing Manfrotto 190XPROB legs with the 804RC2 head attached.

Suggestions / thinks to consider appreciated

Thanks :)

for transportation and storage: http://photo-shop-studio.com/eng/p2.asp?ItemClass1=Bags+%26+Cases&ItemClass2=Tripod+Bags

for a run and gun set up, i prefer to use a Kathmandu Phantom V2 hydration back pack
i open the zip and put the tripod in there legs first, ball head sticking out (as the lumpy bits aren't against my lower back)
i can pull out the tripod quickly for deployment, without removing the pack from my back
i can also run with tripod stored without issues
not for everybody, but works for me

i also have used the tripod holder on my large camera bag but i hate not being able to put the bag down quickly without unclipping the tripod

You can pick up the genuine Manfrotto bags on ebay at a good price. I actually bought one when I was in HK and it will fit my 055 no problems at all. They come with an over the shoulder carry strap, making it really easy just to pick up and go. They are not padded, but there are fairly durable.

Can anyone confirm the 190XPROB legs with the 804RC2 head attached will fit into a Manfrotto MBAG80P tripod bag?

I used to have that tripod+head with an MBAG80 (unpadded version), which is the combo sold by vanbar.

It fit well, and it seems it has the same dimensions as the MBAG80P. However the bag you want might have a bit less interior room due to the padding.

There was a bit of extra room around the tripod in mine, and I suspect the MBAG80P will be ok, but can't say 100%.

The unpadded bag was more than adequate in my opinion, and the tripod is quite strong. Might be worth considering this one if you want to save a little bit of cash and weight.

Price difference isnt huge, I will consider the weight though.

I just thought the padding would stop levers on the head digging into to sometimes when carrying it :P

Thanks for the response mate :)

Mines the MBAG80P,fits my 055PROBX and 322RC2 like it was made for it,at a squeeze I could probably fit my Monopod in as well.
