G'day all

Are there any Townsville based 5D-II people able to spend some time with a friend of mine?

She's going o'seas soon and needs some fine-tuning of her 5D + kit before she goes
If -y- could you please PM me

Regards, Phil

Sorry I'm all the way over here in Perth but if you have any questions I'll be happy to answer them.

I would recommend reading the instruction booklet back to front, then read it again. Then go practice with it, then read it again.

Here in Melbourne - so can only be there in spirit as well.

But if she could buy it, I can recommend a concise book which greatly expands the manual:

Canon EOS 5D Mark II Digital Field Guide (Paperback) by Brian McLernon (http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Mark-Digital-Field-Guide/dp/0470467142/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1273017460&sr=1-2)

Can highly recommend that book, and also happy to answer questions.

I purchased this one: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Magic-Lantern-Guides-Canon-EOS-5d-Mark-II-Book-NEW-PB-/230459355240?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Non_Fiction&hash=item35a872b068

Wonder how it compares to the Field Guide.

G'day all

I note the 3 responses this last week & thank you for them
I haven't heard from the lady concerned (presume she's o'seas now) so I don't know whether she's found something close to home or whatever

Thanks, Phil
