Too bad couldn't see the tiger snakes head:/ Was only a small one - not sure on what the length would have been but less than a meter I think - hard when couldnt see how much body/head was hidden

Ah well at least it was a couple of feet down on the reeds as we went for a bush walk and not on the boardwalk/track lol

Luckily wasnt on the same level as us - We were on a boardwalk over the reeds - was at least a foot from the boardwalk to the snake below on the reeds - it just slithered off under the reeds when it moved

i think the fact that it was below us made it seem less of a threat in a way but if had been on the path i doubt I would have gone close to it lol

I'm thinking too close as well..ha ha!! I'd be really happy that I couldn't see it's head with it's nasy little fangs. Nice spot though!!

They really do have beautiful markings, don't they? As the others have said, this was well spotted, and I like the untidiness of the reeds.
I think it could have been improved if you had leant down and moved the stray reeds covering him , and the advantage then would have been you would have gotten to see his beady eyes- up close, very close...
Seriously, I would have been too busy running to think of the photo op, so well done.

Thanks Di, but Ah No didn't want to distrub the patter of the reeds by moving them lol - also didn't want to get bitten  lol
