Nice catch! You always know you have a healthy garden with these little guys around. :)

As you said, they are Littoria fallax, though it's more commonly called the Eastern Sedgefrog around Brisbane. Lots of different names for them I think. They vary in colour a lot, but the give away is the dark stripe from nostril through the eye, and white stripe from below eye to shoulder.

Thank you so much for that Info.

I am surprised at the variation in colours of all the frogs in our Garden

Took me weeks of searching to find this was indeed a Green Tree Frog and a large one too.
It stayed around for a while I named it sleepy as I often seen it asleep in the garden.
Not that morning though it was up there greeting the Sun though quickly went down
When it seen me coming with the Camera..

These are gorgeous Mary Anne, so tiny and delicate and much different from the Barking Frogs we have here at home.

Frogs amaze me. There's not a watercourse for miles around here, yet somehow these frogs have found their way to our place with its teeny weeny pond. :)

Thank you Cat and yes it is.

And Helen Thanks also. Yes they are so tiny and delicate so much so that I have to keep a sharp lookout when I prune anything as I almost cut one of the green ones in half once I just managed to see its eye at the last minute.. Since we added a Horse Bowl as I call it, it holds 60 litres of water and has a couple of pots of waterlilies in it we have had many more in the garden too.

Thanks Mal we do get the odd critter here.. Last week it was a taipan and a green tree snake.
After looking at the News tonight they say that Spiders are our next worry.
I prefer the snakes at least I can see them :D

Oh wow! They are indeed tiny. So cute too.

And I thought the little frogs that live in the filter on our water tanks were small, but they're positively huge compared to these.

I was searching for Litoria fallax Mary Anne and this is one of the threads I found. It's a bit late but I wanted to say I love these pics and I think you've executed them very well.

The eyes on the "jug frog" are amazing!

now we have toads invading us from the north hopefully they (the frogs) wont be "run out of town".

Kevin we have heaps of those nasty toads here also
We often do the rounds on Wednesdays nights as the bin gets empty Thursday morning :D
I reckon those little frogs know how to look after themselves as they seem to go high
Where the toads never seem to get far off the ground

Fantastic photos mate - we have heaps of frogs here as they keep us awake at night - just have to flush them into view to take their picture during the day! And its steadily getting colder so not much hope of that!

Cheers

Like the shots Mary Anne. We have dozens of green tree frogs around the house and many more in the inground tank. I have also seen quite a few of these little green blogs too and always thought they where just baby green tree frogs. Very interesting. I will get around to getting some light into the water tank one day a get a shot of them all enjoying life.

Conseqently, we have a two stage filter on the water line :-).

I can understand you thinking those very tiny green frogs were baby green tree frogs Mike.
I love the way the green tree frogs appear on the tanks leaf filter when the water starts pouring into it from the downpipes.
