So my Epson R2400 is cactus.

It's old, temperamental and induces a panic attack every time I need to turn it on. I hit the switch and think "what will go wrong today?".

So I need a new one.

I think I'll go bigger this time, so I'm looking at 24" models. The ability to produce an archival quality 24x36 art print in-house is very appealing.

I'm looking at the following options:

• Epson Stylus Pro 7900 (http://www.epson.com.au/Prographics/products/largeformat/DisplayMain.asp?id=styluspro7900)
• Canon ipf6200 (http://canon.com.au/pps/large_format/ga_ipf6200.aspx)
• HP Designjet Z3100ps (http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF06b/18972-18972-3328061-12600-3328079-3204970-3204977-3204978.html)

Anyone got any advice or experience they'd like to weigh in with?

I think there was a recent thread about this not so long ago but I can't find it; someone else may know of it. (I'm not thinking of my thread about canon printers not being available)

I will be interested in the replies also

My honest opinion?

Someone would have to pay me $400 to let another 2400 in the studio. It's been a nightmare most of it's working* life.

*working is a generous term.
